Samajwadi Party supremo and Ex-Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav promised to provide free water, education,
medicine and free electricity to weavers and farmers and waive loans of kisans, if his party was voted to power in the upcoming Uttar
Pradesh assembly elections. He said, “If the SP is voted to power in the state, my government will provide free water, education and medicine to people. We will also give either jobs or unemployment doles to youths,”. Uttar Pradesh would have a free and fair poll. He
said, “Only we, who come from rural background and have seen poverty, can take such decisions. We will ensure that the poor do not suffer due to expensive medical care and education. Farmers will not have to pay for a natural commodity like water. Mulayam Singh said, “We will double unemployment allowance for youths and provide flood allowance to farmers.  He accused chief minister Mayawati of failing to connect with the people and said our government will also initiate an inquiry into misuse of government funds by the present regime,”
