Punjab– Despite of few skirmishes between candidates in few districts, Punjab elections ended peacefully without any type of problems or hurdles. Only 77% of the voters turn up for voting out of 1.76 crore voters. The Punjab elections of today will determine the future of 1,078 candidates contesting from 117 constituencies. These elections will also determine the fate of Prakash Singh Badal (Akali Dal) and Amarinder Singh (Congress) who are contesting against each other for the post Chief Minister.

Uttarakhand– With a slow pace of voters coming and vote in the morning Uttarakhand elections ended with 70% of the candidates of 63 lakhs voters turning up to vote. These elections will determine the fate of 788 candidates contesting from 70 constituencies. The Chief Ministerial candidates include B.C Khanduri (BJP) and Yahpal Arya (Congress).
